Furniture Leadership Awards (FLA) Malaysia 2008
Through the Malaysia Furniture Leadership Awards (FLA), we honour the most outstanding furniture movers and shakers in the country today.
Objectives & Framework
FLA is conceived to serves several purpose.
To begin with, FLA is to recognise entrepreneurial leadership excellence in the furniture trade and industry regionally and internationally. The award will honour the most outstanding furniture movers and shakers today.
Secondly, FLA serves as an exercise for entrepreneurs to assess and reflect on their leadership and management. During the course of the program, FLA will highlight various critical factors for business success.
Thirdly, FLA hopes to inspire, motivate and create real effective role models for other furniture entrepreneurs in the region and worldwide. It is hoped that through this program, enterprising new blood will learn and be encouraged to join the ranks of successful leaders in the business.
We envision FLA to grow into a major international event in the global furniture community.
FLA Malaysia is the inaugural event, held in a country where the furniture industry contributes significantly to its foreign earnings, a leading furniture exporter in Asia and a key player globally.
Short-listing of candidates will be conducted 2nd week of November. All short-listed candidates will be scheduled for an interview with the judging panel end 17th, 18th November. The final results will be announced December 1, 2008. FLA Malaysia 2008 is greatly honoured by the presence of his excellency Y.B. Datuk Peter Chin, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, as our Guest of Honour. The date of the award presentation ceremony cum gala dinner is scheduled for December 9
